Dr. Xinni Song

Dr. Xinni Song MD, FRCPC

Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Ottawa
Division of Medical Oncology

Dr. Song did her postgraduate medical training in internal medicine/medical oncology at University of Ottawa. She completed a CBCF clinical fellowship in breast cancer. She is a member of both the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists.

Dr. Song is currently a medical oncologist and chair of the melanoma disease site at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. Her research interests include clinical trials of new cancer therapeutics, cancer survivorship, and medical education in relation to professional learning and assessment. She is the author of numerous oncology-related abstracts and articles, as well as a dedicated speaker and educator.

Stephen has over 25 years of experience in clinical research and health programs’ leadership. His clinical research expertise in CRO and pharma sponsor settings centers on the conduct of Phase 1-3b drug, biologic and device trials for a wide range of therapeutic areas. In his role as Executive Director for the Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network (3CTN), Stephen has been responsible for leading Network initiatives designed to optimize the capacity of participating Cancer Centres towards improving equitable access to academic cancer clinical trials for patients across the country.
