Christian Schniering currently works for Lawo Corp, a pioneering provider of IP-based infrastructure solutions including audio, video, networking and control systems. His educational background includes a software engineering degree from Germany, an MBA from Rotman School of Management in Toronto and a Global Executive MBA from St. Gallen in Switzerland. As an avid admirer of professional development and personal growth, he has spent much of his time implementing leadership strategy alongside, corporate policy and business operations in order to strengthen his skillset and benefit start-up ventures. Currently, Christian is volunteering for the mentorship program “Futurepeneur” whose focus is to provide business and technical advice, as well as support and encouragement, to help young entrepreneurs remain focused on what is important for the success of their business.
Christian’s extensive knowledge base and diverse educational background has enabled him to develop highly complex and adaptive software solutions for the larger private and public broadcasters in North America. Throughout his career, he also demonstrates proficiency leading seminars focused on delivering theoretical and practical knowledge of objective software architecture and design-thinking for VSM at SiriusXM and NPR in Washington D.C. Currently, Christian is responsible for the business development and sales within the Canadian Market space for Lawo. He is eager to utilize his past and present expertise to shape the future technological landscape by teaching and implementing strategical mind frames.
Christian’s passion for cancer awareness stems from the experience of supporting his partner through her cancer (Leukemia) journey. Their struggle has provided him the opportunity to participate in cancer awareness building and fundraising with the LGFB community. Christian also won the first ever co-survivor award through Facing Cancer.ca and has made an appearance on CityTV.
