About the Melanoma Network of Canada

The Melanoma Network of Canada (MNC) was founded in 2009 by Annette Cyr, a patient and three-time survivor of melanoma, in conjunction with support and assistance from Jo Anne Adams, a patient survivor, and Terra Deeth, caregiver to a husband with melanoma.

The network was founded to respond to the need for patients in Canada to have a nationally-based organization to coordinate educational and prevention efforts, provide a strong voice for advocacy, and assist in efforts to target funding for melanoma research.

This website is devoted to educational and informational purposes only and is not engaged in rendering medical advice or professional services. Information provided by the MNC or its volunteers should not be used for diagnosing or treating a skin problem or disease. It is not a substitute for professional care or advice. If you have or suspect you have a skin problem you should consult a dermatologist or other professional healthcare provider.
