On July 4th, 2022, teledermatology will be offered to all patients in Quebec province. If a GP judges that his/her patient has a problem that is worthy of observation by a dermatologist, the GP could take pictures and submit them confidently to a dermatologist, who will send a response to the GP within 14 days.

Mole mapping (also referred to as dermoscopy) is a screening service designed to detect malignant melanoma at the earliest possible stage. Mole mapping is a computerized photo mapping system that detects and photographs moles quickly and effectively, whilst also tracking any changes. As a result, moles can be compared overtime from the first initial visit to identify new moles or possible evolutions of existing moles.
